Administrative / Biographical History
Ferrey and Mennim Ltd were established in 1922, and were located in Minster Yard, York, until the early 2000s. They then moved to the Innovation Centre at the University of York, before moving again to the Catalyst, Heslington East campus in November 2022.
The firm have worked on projects across the United Kingdom, and provide a wide range of architectural services – from the repair and conservation of historic buildings to the design of major new buildings such as schools and residential houses.
Ferrrey and Mennim are the appointed architects for St Magnus’ Cathedral in Kirkwall, Orkney, and for Hull Minster. They also care for over 180 churches throughout the Dioceses York, Leeds and Sheffield, including carrying out quinquennial inspections.
