Cold Rolled Steel Strip Association

This collection contains: management committee, handbook sub-committee and general meeting minutes, 1962-1968; technical/research committee minutes, 1947-1968; circulars, minutes and agendas of the Cold Rolled Steel Strip Export Group, 1965-1968.

This was part of the Light Rolled Steel Products Conference, which was affiliated to the British Iron and Steel Federation. It was dissolved in October 1968.

These records were among a series of deposits made by British Steel plc between 1995 and 1999.

The largest part of the deposits made in the Centre by British Steel plc is formed by the records of the British Iron and Steel Federation (BISF) and its predecessor, the National Federation of Iron and Steel Manufacturers. The deposits also include records of a number of regional and sectional iron and steel employers' organisations associated with the BISF, the statutory Iron and Steel Board and the nationalised British Steel Corporation.
