Religious treatise 1698

Administrative / Biographical History

This anonymous work, written in a paper notebook which is bound in the fragment of a parchmentdeed in English, bears the date of 15 August 1698. Other facts about its writing are unclear, although internal evidence might in time help to identify the circumstances of its creation. Theparchment fragment seems too brief for an identification of place, but the inclusion of the name'Charles Harvey' suggests that this volume may have a common provenance with MS 21, a religioustreatise dating from the 1660s which, it is suggested, may have been written or copied by CharlesHarvey of Elston, Nottinghamshire.
