Administrative / Biographical History

Amy Malden was born in 1872. Her father was vicar at St James Church in Sheldwich, Kent and her mother died when she was just two years old, leaving her eldest sister, Betha to care for them. Amy was a florist and Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society, running her market garden in Ash, Surrey with a Miss Jones, from approx 1906, when the family became dispersed following the death of her father. She died on 27 Feb 1957.
