Diary of Reverend Peter Bayley Williams for the year 1825, containing many references to the parishioners of Llanrug and Llanberis, descriptions of the weather, details of tithe setting, issuing of warrants as justice of the peace, farming operations, making of wills, social visits and callers etc.

Administrative / Biographical History

Reverend Peter Bayley Williams (1763/1765-1836) was rector of Llanrug, Caernarfonshire from 1792 to 1836. He was the son of Peter Williams, the celebrated Methodist preacher, revivalist and commentator and a brother of Reverend Eliezer Williams. His son, Henry Bayley, followed him as incumbent of Llanrug and Llanberis.
