Tre'rddol Rent Roll

Scope and Content

A rent roll of the messuages, lands etc. of Margaret Bold in Anglesey, as set for the year 1703-1704. Includes the names of hundreds (Malltraeth, Llifon, Menai and Tindaethwy) and parishes where tenements were located, names of tenants and farms and the nature of their holdings.

Administrative / Biographical History

The death of Owen Bold of Tre'rddol near Llechgynfarwy, Anglesey in September 1703 resulted in the devolution of his lands upon the Meyrick family. The widow of Owen Bold was Margaret Bold, daughter of John Owen of Penrhos. Margaret Bold's second husband was the Rev. Robert Wynn of Garthewin, Chancellor of St. Asaph and Vicar of Gresford.
