Scope and Content

Alice, daughter and heir of Thomas de Fishide, widow, confirms her gift to her son Richard de Cotes, of all her lands in Cornwall, that is to say, in Rydelatone?, with common pasture and turvary in Faymore, and in messuage three acres and half a ferlingata. At Grymestede,witnessed by Master Roger le Engleys, Andrew de Grymestede, John de Grymestede, Ralph de Boklande, Walter de Wollop, Hugh de Wyly, and others. Tagged pendant black round seal with heraldic device, lettering illegible. Endorsed in fourteenth- and fifteenth-century hands: 'terre de Melkame et Briggedoune? et Lankmorn / Pengelly Opehardone? et K[?] cum ? pastur'', 'cart de Northpaderda iuxta / Lankynhorn', and 'Infra Rylaton'.
