A gilded lacquer manuscript, a mixture of Pali texts and vernaculars of Lanna, Northern Thailand. It is delicately ornamented, reflecting its use in ritual instruction intended for public display. The manuscript has the rectangular form of the earliest palm leaf manuscripts, with floral motifs and birds in roundels on the cover boards, and additional floral bands on the end of each of the text folios.
