Custodial History

Many of the letters were found loosely inserted in books in Green-Armytage's library and were removed by the donor after Green-Armytage's death. The books were subsequently offered for sale by George's of Bristol in 1988, together with a few typescripts of poems and letters from de la Mare that remained in the books. A list of letters removed from the books is at MS. Eng. lett. c. 850, fol. 98.
