The firm of Finlay & Davidson, cast iron goods manufacturers, Port Eglinton, Glasgow, Scotland, opened the Victoria Street Foundry , Glasgow, sometime around 1868. David Davidson, one of the partners of Finlay & Davidson, took an active role in the management of the Victoria Street Foundry. The foundry appears in Glasgow trade directories until 1885 when it is presumed that the foundry closed.
