Scope and Content

Letters addressed to W. J. Roberts from various correspondents including, Bob Owen, Croesor and Gwilym Deudraeth. There are 15 letters from Carneddog on the subject of the collection of subscriptions towards the publication of his book, Cerddi Eryri. Also, letters from Bob Owen and H.R. Jones, organiser of Plaid Genedlaethol Cymru, relating to the foundation of a branch of Plaid Genedlaethol Cymru in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Merioneth.

Little biographical information was available regarding W. J. Roberts during time of compilation of description. He lived at Maes Garnedd, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Merioneth but later moved to Llandudno, Caernarfonshire.
