Scope and Content

The Collection consists of some book material but principally of a very significant collection of exhibition catalogues from galleries world wide. The coverage of the Collection is primarily of post-1960s art but items covering earlier periods in the history of art are also included.

Administrative / Biographical History

Modern Art Oxford, founded by architect Trevor Green in 1965 and originally known as the Museum of Modern Art Oxford, is a public gallery which seeks to exhibit leading contemporary art to the general public. For further information, see the Modern Art Oxford website www.modernartoxford.org.uk.
