Administrative / Biographical History

The Association of Correctors of the Press was founded in 1854 and organised readers in a fifteen mile radius from the London General Post Office. It had no branches but chapels, general meetings, an annual meeting and an executive committee. In 1965 the Association of Correctors of the Press transferred its engagements to the National Graphical Association.
