This collection includes: rules; journals; records concerning British Broadcasting Corporation branches, including records inherited from the Association of Broadcasting and Allied Staffs and the Broadcasting and Entertainment Trades Alliance.

Administrative / Biographical History

BECTU was founded in 1991 with the merger of the Association of Cinematograph Television and Allied Technicians (ACTT) and the Broadcasting and Entertainment Trades Alliance (BETA).

Custodial History

Items with references beginning MSS.354 were deposited by BECTU in May 1995. Items with references beginning MSS.437 were transferred from the University Library in April 2002.
