Administrative / Biographical History
Dibdin held the offices of Chancellor of the Diocese of Rochester (1886-1903), of Exeter (1888-1903), and of Durham (1891-1903); counsel to the Attorney-General in charity matters (1895-1903); Dean of the Arches, Auditor of the Chancery Court of York, Master of the Faculties (1903-34); Vicar-General of the Province of Canterbury (1925-34); First Church Estates Commissioner (1905-31). He was also a member of the Royal Commission on Church Discipline, 1904-6, and on Divorce, 1909-12.
