The Shropshire Employers' Federation held its inaugural meeting on 15 June 1917. It became a local association of the Engineering and Allied Employers' National Federation (later the Engineering Employers' Federation) in April 1919. The Shropshire Association was to merge with the Birmingham Association (MSS.265/B) between February 1962 and February 1963.
