Administrative / Biographical History
John B Aris (1934 - 2010) was an early computer programmer and a founder member of the LEO Foundation/LEO Computer Society. He joined Lyons from University in 1958 as a programmer and became Sales Manager for English Electric-LEO responsible for government contracts. In 1985 he became Director of the National Computing Centre in Manchester.
