Administrative / Biographical History
John Whitehead was educated at Winchester and served in the Indian army, 1943-1948. He was the author of Thangliena : the life of T.H. Lewin (1992). His other works included several books on W. Somerset Maugham. He also practised as a solicitor for much of his professional life.
