Scope and Content

In consideration of the sum of #300 duly paid to him, William Custance of Sutton, farmer, surrenders by the hands of Moses Oates and in the presence of Thomas Haddock all his 6 acres of copyhold fenland and premises in Sutton North Fen, manor of Sutton, to the use of Philip Cawthorne of Chatteris, farmer. Copy, 2 sides with receipt of consideration money (of even date), copied signatures of William Custance and of witnesses: Moses Oates, Thomas Haddock and [?Richard] Pigott.
