Cwmtillery Lodge was a branch of the National Union of Mineworkers (South Wales Area) representing Cwmtillery Colliery.
In the 1950's Cwmtillery Colliery was integrated with Roseheyworth Colliery and became Abertillery New Mine. The lodges however still remained separate units. The Cwmtillery section of Abertillery New Mine was closed in 1982 and the Roseheyworth section was closed in 1985.
