Jevons Papers

Scope and Content

Research, lecture and sermon notes, and related material, largely on the main areas of Jevons' scholarly work on philosophy, personality, and comparative religion, but also reflecting his interest in contemporary educational, political and social questions (e.g. Joining the Labour Party). There is very little material on Jevons' early interest in classical antiquities. The papers contain no correspondence, and no material concerning Hatfield College or University of Durham affairs.
