Edward Hugh Edwards was the eldest son of Edward Edwards (born in Denbigh in 1777) and his wife Jane. He was born in 1811 and married Dorothea Elizabeth Hughes at Llandysilio-yn-Il, Denbighshire. They had a son, Edward Robert Edwards, born in 1839.
