Shirlaw Allan was established c1880  at Hamilton, Scotland, and was a leading Scottish industrial auctioneer company. With industrial auctioneering becoming an increasingly competitive market, Shirlaw Allan merged with J A Cathcart in 1998  to form the present day company of Shirlaw Cathcart Ltd which is based in Glasgow, Scotland.
