In consideration of #390, the Revd Adam Wall, senior fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge, and trustee under the will of his brother Gilman Wall deceased, releases to John Ashton of St Ives, Huntingdonshire, linen-draper, and Godfrey Elam of Cambridge, baker (as trustee to Ashton and his heirs), the tenement in Preachers St, parish of St Andrew the Great, Cambridge. Ashton had been the highest bidder for the property at a public auction held on 9 September last. Lease: Doc 1920. Signed and sealed by all three parties, witnessed by Thomas Lombe, Ed Randall, and Joseph Mustill, duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for consideration money, same witnesses. Further endorsed with memorandum signed by Wall and Ashton, and witnessed by Lombe and Randall, that an adjoining coach house does noot form part of the property included in the indenture, but is part of the tenement now occupied by William Tinney. Endorsed in blue crayon: 'Cambridge'.
