Scope and Content

Indenture made between Henry Story, shepherd, of Bartlow, Cambs., and Samuel King, yeoman, of Ashdon, Essex. Henry Story, for £5.5, sells to Samuel King 3 roods of arable land, called Churchmeadowfeild, Bartlow, which he bought of Jeremy Goodwin who had it of Henry Flacke. Signed by Henry Story, his mark. Witnessed on back by John Mead and John Dover.
