Administrative / Biographical History
John Wolley (1824-1859) made a collection of bird eggs, which via Alfred Newton has reached the University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge. He studied birds with Newton in Iceland in 1858. Newton published a catalogue of the eggs in the Ootheca Wolleyana (1864).
Access Information
Manuscripts can be consulted on appointment only. The Museum of Zoology is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 17:00 pm. Access and reproduction is at the discretion of the Archivist.
