Administrative / Biographical History

The Sorter Tracers' Association was formed in February 1904 with a membership of 296; in 1906 it affiliated to the National Joint Committee of Postal Organisations. The Association was a founder member of the Post Office Servants Federation in 1911 and merged with the Union of Post Office Workers on 31 January 1926.
