Scope and Content

Ralph de Diceto, Dean of London, had granted certain land and property to the Deanery of St Paul's. The Bishop's predecessor G[ilbert Ffoliott] had confirmed this grant and assigned further land, on condition that each dean should pay a certain sum to the chamberlain for provisions on the anniversary of the Dean's death. The Bishop approves the above transactions and assigns further land. Witnesses: Richard de Storteford, schoolmaster; Henry, treasurer; Henry de Northampton; Robert de Clifford; Hugh de Raculf; Hugh; Richard the younger; Peter de Waltham; Ralph de Chilton; Osbert de Camera; Gilbert Banastre; Robert de Nivers; Aalard; Richard de Windlesores; William de Heli; Roger; Alan; Berengarins; John de Stortforde. The Bishop's seal is attached, stamped with his effigy and the words 'Ricardus Dei Graci[a Lon]doniensis Episcopus'.
