The collections consists of the following items:

• Catalogue of Watson's collection of shells, 2 vols, 1898-1928.
• List of numbered series of shells in Watson's collection, 1 vol.
• Hand paintings of cowrie shells in the Museum.
• Cambridge University student notebooks, 1906-1912, 8 books.
• Miscellaneous Unpublished manuscript and drawings.
• Manuscript of 'Land and freshwater mollusca', 1930s.

Hugh Watson (1885-1959) was a conchologist, who studied at the University of Cambridge.

Manuscripts can be consulted on appointment only. The Museum of Zoology is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 17:00 pm. Access and reproduction is at the discretion of the Archivist.
