Administrative / Biographical History

Joseph (Joe) Binks (1874-1966), former holder of the British mile record and athletics correspondent of the News of the World for 54 years. He set the British mile record in 1902 at 4 minutes 16.8 seconds, only broken in 1921 by Albert Hill.
