Scope and Content

Letters from C. St J. Pulley, Secretary of the Royal Society of Literature, to Siegfried Sassoon (including circular letters to the Academic Committee of the Royal Society of Literature), with related items including an agenda for a meeting of the Academic Committee, a notice of a luncheon, a volume of printed reports of the Royal Society of Literature annotated by Sassoon, and a letter from Thomas Sturge Moore to Sassoon. The correspondence concerns the award of the Society's Benson Medal in 1939, and Sassoon's consequent resignation as a Fellow of the Society.
