Administrative / Biographical History
Islwyn, 1832-1878, was a Calvinistic Methodist minister and poet. In 1864 he married Martha, daughter of William Davies. He was an avid competitor in Eisteddfodau, but was never truly successful.
Several volumes of his work have appeared including Gwaith barddonol Islwyn : 1832-1878, 1897 and Gwaith Islwyn, 1903.
