Samuel Sargent, a poor child of Babraham, with the consent of Robert Jones Adeane, Lord of the Manor, and at the nomination of William Holme, Minister of Babraham, John Phipps, churchwarden, and Richard Tofts, overseer of the poor, puts himself apprentice to Henry Wilson, of Holy Trinity parish, Cambridge, cordwainer, till he attains twenty-one years. Witnessed by Thomas Pelt. Six seals are attached. On the back is a receipt for a sum paid to him by John Phipps for taking the apprentice, signed by Henry Wilson.
