Scope and Content

Papers of John Briggs relating to India, including papers relating to Brigg's residency at Satara, 1826-7; copies of papers relating to the sequestration of Mysore, 1831-2; a draft translation, published as History of the rise of the Mahomedan power in India (4 vols., London, 1829); a collection of Hindu legends; and an album of drawings.
