A notebook of sermon topics along with the locations where they were preached. There are also many references to his life - notes relating to the weather, a reference to the building of Menai Bridge and an incident in 1815 where he and his wife nearly drowned in a river !

Administrative / Biographical History
Thomas Rhys Davies (1790 - 1859), born in Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire was a Baptist minister. In 1811 he visited north Wales and was persuaded by Christmas Evans to stay, where he served the circuit of Llansanffraid Glan Conwy and Rowen in Denbighshire.
He quarrelled with Glanwydden church in 1820, leaving the Baptists to join the Wesleyans, only to return to his old denomination years later.
He married Ann Foulks of Llandrillo-yn-Rhos in 1814 and died in 1859 in Swansea.
