Administrative / Biographical History

Nottingham University Staff Cricket Club has its origins in a challenge match between staff ofthe Chemistry and Physics departments in 1949. A small fixture list for a united team was preparedfor the summer of 1950. Despite difficulties in recruiting sufficient players in early years,non-academic members of university staff were excluded. A reunion in 1990 brought together a numberof people who had been on the team in 1950.
