Scope and Content

Transcripts, made by M.R. Lawrence, 1936-8, of letters from T.E. Lawrence to his mother, 1905-34, with copies of letters of two of his brothers, 1910, 1913.

Administrative / Biographical History

Montagu Robert Lawrence (1885-1971) was T.E. Lawrence's brother. Thomas Edward Lawrence (1888-1935), was an archaeologist, soldier and author (details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

The transcripts were given to the Library by M.R. Lawrence in 1954.
