Scope and Content

Papers of Robert Auty concerning Slavonic languages and literatures, c. 1945-78, including: correspondence, notes, manuscripts and typescripts of published material, reviews of his work, conference and seminar material, and travel notes, etc. The archive reflects Auty's two principal academic interests: tracing the development of the Slavonic literary languages (especially Czech, Slovak, Slovene and Serbo-Croat); and the study of Old Church Slavonic.
