Administrative / Biographical History

The National Association of Teachers of Home Economics and Technology was founded in 1897 as the Association of Teachers of Domestic Science Ltd. In 1909 it became the Association of Teachers of Domestic Subjects before reverting to its original title in 1962. In c.1983 it became the National Association of Teachers of Home Economics Ltd. and adopted its current title in 1991.
