Administrative / Biographical History

A student magazine was first published by the Students' Representative Council of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College in 1908. Although founded as the 'Glasgow Technical College Magazine', it was entitled 'The Mask' for much of the twentieth century and had several other changes of name. The current student publication is the newspaper, 'Strathclyde Telegraph'. In addition to the magazine, the Association published a student handbook, Crust, which was a guide to the Union and to being a student in Glasgow. The Archives holdings of all of these records are incomplete
