Administrative / Biographical History
M.C.U. was founded in 1898 as the Churchmen's Union for the Advancement of Liberal Religious Thought. It became the Modern Churchmen's Union in 1928, and the Modern Churchpeople's Union in 1987. It continues to promote liberal Christian thought within the Church.
