Albert Ernest Stubbs 1877-1962
MP, Labour Party organiser and Chairman of workers' side of AgriculturalWages Committee. Stubbs was formerly a machinist on a daily paper. He becamePresident of Cambridge Trades Council and Labour Party in 1916. He was anAlderman for Cambridge Borough and County, 1942. Stubbs contestedCambridgeshire, 1918, 1922 and 1923, and was Labour MP for the constituencyfrom 1945 to 1950.
