Administrative / Biographical History
Joe Steele (died c.1980s) was a shop steward and chairman of the works committee at Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft factory, Baginton, in the Amalgamated Engineering Union Coventry District, 1941-2, and shop steward for the toolroom, 1942-5. He was shop stewards' convenor at Standard Company Ltd. (Aero Engines No.2) for the period 1943-5.
