Acquisition Information

The material was collected by one of Glover's Canadian friends, Archibald Sinclair. Sinclair was a a graduate of Queen's, who entered the Presbyterian ministry. By 1936 Sinclair was minister of the First Presbyterian Church at Bloomfield, New Jersey, and later seems to have settled in Florida. The collection was presented to Cambridge University Library in 1963 by Sinclair's daughter, Mrs Phyllis Sampson.

The University Library also holds a quantity of Glover's general correspondence (MS Add.7874), his transcript of a diary by the Revd. John Johnson concerning William Cowper (MS Add.5993), and notes by an unidentified undergraduate of his lectures on Greek history (MS Add.7748).
