Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Bombay Club was formed in 1862, replacing the Indian Navy Club, which closed on the dissolution of the Indian Navy. The Club met until 1959, when it closed as a result of changing social circumstances and the effects of prohibition.

Acquisition Information
The volumes were the only records that could be found by the last President, C.R. Sharp, at the dissolution of the Club. He handed them to Mr G.P. Brownie, who presented the volumes to the R.C.S. in December 1977.
