Administrative / Biographical History
Jethro Bithell was head of the Department of German at Birkbeck College from 1910 until his retirement in 1938. An obituary notice appeared in The Times for 6 March 1962, and see also the Festschrift issue of German life and letters, N.S. 11, July 1958.
