James Ware: Catalogue of manuscripts

Scope and Content

'Librorum Manuscriptorum in Bibliotheca Jacobi Waroei Equitis Aurati Catalogus', a catalogue of the manuscripts of James Ware, 14 folios. This is a transcript of the edition printed at Dublin in 1648, made by Alfred Rogers to the order of Henry Bradshaw.

Acquisition Information

The volume was originally part of the collection of Henry Bradshaw. It was acquired by Sir William Drake, at whose sale at Sotheby's in 1893 it was purchased by Bernard Quaritch. Cambridge University Library received it from Bernard Quaritch in 1905.
