Administrative / Biographical History

Charles Emile Eugene Duchenne was a Caporal, 417ime Rgiment d'Infanterie, serving on the Western Front. He was wounded in action and lost his right arm. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Mdaille Militaire and granted the Lgion d'Honneur (Chevalier). Later he became a Lieutenant.
