James Landers (b. 1893 at Salford) served with the Non-Combatant Corps at Kinmell Park, North Wales, and at Ormskirk, Lancashire. Later, as an Absolutist conscientious objector, he was sentenced to two years hard labour and imprisoned at Wormwood Scrubs from 21 Feb. 1918 until 18 June 1919.
