Scope and Content

Issues of the 'The Bath Road News', 1913-1958, incomplete, with gap between 1927 and 1941 inclusive. Includes two bound volumes. Four cartoons of the Club by Tumtum [H. R. L. Etherington], 1919 (3) and 1922 (1). Programme for the 65th annual dinner, 1950. Five photographs of the club members in the 1920s sent by a member to the depositor in 1951, with covering letter. Six photographs of members, some identified, 1949-1950, c.1950. 'The Cheshire Roads News', organ of the Cheshire Roads Club: issue for August 1951.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Bath Road Club was founded 7th November 1886, and was probably based in London. It published a journal, 'The Bath Road News', which was still in existence in 1958.
